Services for Ernest Herman Olson, 71, of 1601 19th St., West Des Moines, who died of cancer Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Olson was born in Monmouth, Ill., and had lived in Des Moines for 48 years. He had been a credit manager for Sidles Distributing Co. until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the National Association of Credit Managers and the United Presbyterian Church in St. Charles.

Survivors include his wife, Ferne E.; a daughter, Barbara S. Hunget of Lucas; two sons, Randy C. of Escondido, Calif., and Richard A. of West Des Moines; a sister, Rosemary Salak of Rock Island, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where they family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Polk County Cancer Foundation or the Diabetes Foundation.
