Services for William J. Maher, 82, of 1409 Clark St., who died Friday at Iowa Methodist Hospital of a heart attack will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Cathedral with burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Madison County.

Mr. Maher was a retired farmer and a resident of Des Moines for 29 years. He was born in Madison County and was a World War I veteran. Mr. Maher was a member of the Dowling Club and St. Ambrose Cathedral.

There are no immediate survivors.

The rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. today at the Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home.
