Phocian (Dad) Garretson, brother of F. A. Garretson and former resident of Winterset, died April 15 at Seattle, Washington, after many years of ill health. Death was due to diabetes. His wife and daughter survive.
Mr. Garretson lived a number of years in Des Moines before going to the west coast. Of a family of twelve, only three now survive, two brothers and a sister.
