Claudia Corbett, 64, died Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Waukee United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Waukee Cemetery.

Claudia was born in Bremerton, Washington, raised in Winterset and graduated from Winterset High School. She married Richard Corbett on April 28, 1962, in Winterset, Iowa. They made their home in Waukee where they lived for 44 years. Claudia retired from Amoco Credit Card Services. She loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Iowa Hawkeye’s football and basketball games. Claudia was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Claudia is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Kari (Jay) Roberts of Charleston, SC; son, Bryan (Cathy) Corbett of Waukee; grandchildren, Kyle Corbett, Karla Roberts and Natalie Corbett, brothers Jim (Pamm) Olson of Winterset, Keith (Cida) Olson of Atlanta, GA; and sister, Karla (Ray) Haynes of Urbandale.

Visitation begins after 3 p.m. Tuesday, at Waukee United Methodist Church where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Waukee Fire and Rescue.
