Charles Ellot Weeks

Charles Ellot Weeks passed away December 20. The following article was taken from the Fullerton, Nebr paper.

A wave of sorrow swept over the community last Friday when it was announced that Charlie Weeks had passed away from pneumonia. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Lohr and music furnished by the quartette, consisting of Mrs. Swisher, Miss Slack, J. Will Campbell and Claud Hearst.

In Memoriam

Charlie Ellot Weeks, the youngest son of Frank and Lida Weeks, was born near Macksburg, Iowa, on April 28, 1895 and passed away at the early age of 23 years, 7 months and 23 days.

Charlie’s mother was taken away when he was only a child of two years, leaving him to the tender care of his father. He lived with his father’s family at Macksburg, Iowa until he was ten years of age when they moved to Fullerton, Nebraska where he had since resided until the time of his death.

Charlie was an esteemed young man, living a clean, upright life which won him a wide acquaintance of friends. He was taken sick on Saturday and through this suffering he patiently endured until Friday morning at 6 o’clock he rested from his struggle and was not, for God took him. During his sickness he expressed his hope and trust in God and was prepared to meet his Savior. And so the faithful husband, true brother and kind friend has crossed to that country where they never grow sick nor weary.

He was united in marriage to Miss Fern Eilee Broomhall on December 19, 1917. He leaves to mourn his loss, his young wife, one brother, L. D. Weeks, of Macksburg, Iowa; and five sisters, Mrs. Roy Reynolds, of Burr Oak, Kansas; Mrs. Zola Killion, of Truro, Iowa; Mrs. Garnet’s Spackman, of Alexandria, La., Mrs. Bula Hagman and Mrs. Leta Cunningham, both of Fullerton, two uncles W. H. Weeks, of Palmer, Nebr., and T. E. Weeks of Fullerton, Nebr., on aunt, Mrs. Trievelpece, of Bladen, Nebr., besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
