Martine Routh, 53, passed away at her home on July 12, 2020. Per her wishes, her body has been cremated and no services are planned.

Martine was born June 5, 1967 in Limoges France to Louis E. and Mauricette Slater. She attended Lincoln Community High School in Lincoln, Illinois. Martine worked as a CNA at various nursing homes. On 12-12-12, she married Douglas Routh in Winterset, Iowa. Martine enjoyed coloring, doodling and listening to music, especially rock and roll and old country hits. She loved long drives, fishing, tattoos and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and always wanted to feed everyone.

Martine is survived by her husband, Doug; daughters, Jami (Jason) Halupka and Britney Tuder; brother, Stephane Slater; grandchildren, Elijah, Kimberlee, Ezra, Noah, Emmanuel, Katelyn, Delicia, Sophia and Jayson, Jr.; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved fur baby, Spence, whom she had to have put down the Sunday before she passed away. Her family truly believes she died from a broken heart.
