Carol Jean Clarke

Carol Jean Clarke, daughter of Gerald Dean Myers and Lillie Aderien Goodrich Myers was born April 25, 1936 in St. Charles, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, July 3, 2020 at Southern Hills Specialty Care at 84 years of age.

Carol received her education in Truro High School graduating in 1954 and later .

She was united in marriage to Phillip Clarke on September 20, 1954 at Lamoni, Iowa and three children Kevin, Cindy and Shawn blessed this union.

Carol was employed at Furnas Electric in Osceola until its closing.

She enjoyed Swedish Weaving, square dancing, line dancing, reading and any kind of plants and flowers. Carol was also well known for her canning skills and especially for her well known salsa. Phil and Carol enjoyed many years of retirement in Texas where they made many lifelong friends with whom they enjoyed spending time.

Those relatives who preceded Carol in death were her parents; brother, Rex Dean Myers, sister, Janice Irene Hurd, sister, Betty Willcox and nephew, Lee Myers.

Carol leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Phil Clarke of Osceola, IA; son, Shawn (Cindy) Clarke of Osceola, IA; daughter, Cindy Harper of Lorimor, IA; son, Kevin Clarke of Winterset, IA; brother, LeRoy (Dee) Myers of Truro, IA eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many special nieces, nephews and great friends.

Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Tuesday July 7, 2020 at 10:00 am with Pastor Cass Young officiating.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the Memorial at Kale Funeral Home.

The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines. The use of face coverings are encouraged and welcomed but not required. If you are unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at kalefuneralhome.com on Carol's Tribute page under the tribute wall beginning at 10:00 am, Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be directed to EveryStep Hospice 715 W. McLane St., Suite #100, Osceola, IA, 50213.

Interment will be in the Hartman Cemetery.
