June, 1936Mary Ann Hubbard was born June 12, 1844, in Davis County Missouri, and departed this life June 18, 1936, at her home in Ness City, Kansas.
While still a young girl she moved with her family to Madison County, Iowa.
To this union was born six girls and five boys: Jennie Hermon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Julia Almeda Hermon, who died in infancy; Adelia H. Walker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Cyrus F. Hermon who died in 1935; Ivy Myrtle Hermon, of the home; Tom Hermon, of Ness City; a daughter, who died in infancy; Jud Hermon, of Ness City; Oscar P. Hermon of Jetmore; Wynona June Hermon, who died in 1891; Charles T. Hermon, who died in 1920.
The family moved to Rush County, Kansas, in 1879 and to Ness County, in 1882, where she made her home until her death.
Besides her children she leaves to mourn her loss 17 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Nancy Ellen Clear, of Minnesota; Lucretia Jane Lehman, of Arkansas, and otter relatives and a host of friends.
The funeral was held at the funeral home in Ness City by Rev. Glass. Interment was in the Ness City cemetery.
