Belle E. Conn was born in Madison county, Iowa October 17, 1864 and departed this life March 31, 1928
She was united in marriage to Robert Beercroft at Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1881. To this union seven children were born, four of whom live to mourn the departure of their mother, Ethel Clemens of Tama; Edith Bailey, Montour; Mary Shatuck, Orville, California; Robert Beercroft, Oskaloosa. She was left a widow in 1911.
Since leaving Booneville one year ago she had lived with her son, Robert, in Oskaloosa. Besides the above mentioned children she is survived by five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Booneville at 11 o’clock conducted by Rev. W. L. Cannom, pastor, and interment made in the Booneville cemetery. Booneville Forest Rebecca lodge No. 384 of which she was a member put on the closing part of the service in a most appropriate manner.

1. Her Iowa Death Certificate (IDC) shows her name to be Nancy Isabella Buchanen at the time of death.
2. Her first husband’s surname per his gravestone is “Beecroft” rather than “Beercroft”.
3. Per the IDC, the obituary did not forecast her death (March 31st), it was actually March 2nd.
4. From Pottawattamie County Marriage record, she married "R.H. Beecroft" November 1, 1884.
5. Her IDC surname is "Buchanen" but her gravestone says "Buchanan".
6. "Orville, California" should be "Oroville, California".
7. Her gravestone year of birth is 1865, the IDC says 1864.
8. Her first husband's gravestone says he died in 1912 rather than 1911.
