Former County Surveyor Passes Away At Emporia, Kansas – Over 80 Years Old
Robert Patterson, Veteran of the Civil war, county surveyor of Madison county for several terms, died Friday at his home in Emporia, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, who was Ida Turner, and his son Howard and two daughters. He was over 80 years old.
Robert Patterson came to Madison county with his father and brother, John N. Patterson, in the early seventies. He lived on the Bluff road near the old woolen factory and moved to Kansas in the eighties.
Mrs. Patterson is a sister of Mrs. H. N. Shaw and the daughter of Mrs. Alfred Turner.
