GEORGE COX DIES AT DES MOINES HOME

Former Winterset Business Man Succumbs To Death, Survived By Widow and Four Children

George W. Cox, former well known Winterset business man, died Sunday about noon at his home in Des Moines. Mr. Cox, who was past seventy, had been in feeble health some time; he was a brother of Mrs. E. R. Zeller and an uncle of county superintendent, Mrs. Kate Kale.

Mr. Cox was a druggist and for a number of years operated a drug store in the building now occupied by The News office. He left Winterset over thirty years ago and had made his home in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon.

He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Regina Cox and a son, Carl Cox, both of whom made their home with their parents. Two other daughters, Helen, who lives in California and Mrs. Katherine Diddy, of Perry, also survive.
