Mrs. David Clearwater Dead

Mrs. David Clearwater, pioneer resident of Winterset, died recently at her home in Portland, Oregon. Mrs. Clearwater and her husband moved to Oregon about 1897 and had lived there ever since.

She is survived by her aged husband, who is now almost ninety years old.

The Clearwaters were pioneer residents of Union township, opening the farm afterwards owned by Reverend Murphy. Mrs. David Clearwater was a sister of John Catterlin.

Louisa Clearwater, 84, died at the home of a daughter in Portland Tuesday. J. C. Clearwater and A. L. Clearwater, both of Salem are sons. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
