Robert Easter, 71, of 8015 Sunset Drive died of cancer Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Southtown Funeral Home, with burial at Carlisle Cemetery.

Mr. Easter was born near Truro and lived in the Des Moines area 45 years. He was a retired agent for Prudential Insurance Co., an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Truro Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, June; a son, Randy of Des Moines; and four sisters, Jean Swift of Urbandale, Alice Anderson of Arlington, Va., Gladys Nabors of Redmond, Wash., and Ruth Spencer of Chula Vista, Calif.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
