Spring Hill

Genevieve M. Carter, 79, of Spring Hill died of a respiratory ailment Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Webb Cemetery near Spring Hill.

Mrs. Carter was born in Madison County and had lived in Spring Hill the past 32 years. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Hyatt Hotel in Des Moines before retiring.

She is survived by two daughters, Edna Burns of Spring Hill and Cheryl Milner of Pleasantville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
