J. D. Peffley received a telegram on last Wednesday afternoon from Cheyenne, Wyoming stating that W. D. Freeborn had died there that morning. Mr. Freeborn was for many years a resident of this community and many will remember. He and his family except one daughter, Mrs. David Lathrum, left here about 15 years ago and went to Wyoming. Since which time they have resided there, formerly on a farm, more recently moving to the city of Cheyenne.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Cheyenne Friday and interment in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery of that place.
He was a member of St. Charles Lodge No. 416 I. O. O. F. Mrs. Freeborn has the sympathy of a host of friends here in this her great bereavement. Mrs. David Lathrum left here Wednesday night for Cheyenne.
