Page 1, Column 2FUNERAL SERVICES FOR C. E. REED THIS AFTERNOON
C. E. Reed of Winterset, died Saturday at the Iowa City hospital after a short illness. He was well known to many people in this community. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at New Virginia, where he lived for 68 years before moving to Winterset. He was 82 years old.
Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, one son and four daughters. He was a graduate of Iowa State college in the class of 1894 and had been a member of the Masonic lodge for nearly 50 years.
Transcriber’s note: Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery.
