Betty Beni

Betty Beni of Haile, Louisiana, formerly Dallas Center and Winterset, Iowa passed away on December 31, 2019.

Betty Lou Miller Beni was born to Galen & Florence Miller on September 21, 1931. Betty was the 4th of 7 children, her siblings include Carol Miller, June Fiscel, Dale Miller, Betty, Jody Kreider-Bogg, Pat Boyd and Gaylord Miller. She graduated from Dallas Community High School, Dallas Center, IA in 1951 and then went in to Brethren Volunteer Service, serving in Chicago IL.

On March 20, 1954 she married Peter Beni. They had 4 children, James Beni (Kathy Cockrum), Jason Beni, JoDean Delperdang and Jordan Beni (Judy Jones), 9 Grandchildren, Amber Beni (James Paul), Devin Beni (Lindsay Helmold), Perrin Taylor (Glenna) Elisha Taylor, Christina Taylor (Rob Cosner), Nathan Beni, Heather Delperdang (David Buttery), Meghan Delperdang (Matt Rebik) and Jessica Delperdang, as well as 11 Great Grandchildren.

Betty loved to sing, had a mischievous nature, enjoyed playing games, traveling, and sharing her faith with others. She shared her love of Jesus, homemade ice cream, Christmas, and making & decorating Christmas cookies with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Galen and Florence Miller and 2 sisters, Carol Miller and June Fiscel and in-laws Samuel and Christina Beni.

A remembrance of life service was held for her on January 7, 2020 at the Haile Baptist Church, in Haile, Louisiana.
