George Heard received word Tuesday of the death of his sister, Mrs. Pearl Danforth, 86, of Glendale, Calif.
She was formerly of Winterset but moved to California about 50 years ago. She is survived by two daughters and one son and her brother, George Heard.

Funeral services were held at the Little Church of the Flowers, Glendale, California, June 4th for Mrs. Charles (Pearl A.) Danforth. Dr. Clifford R. Carpenter of Unity Temple conducted the services. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale.
Mrs. Danforth was born in Grundy Center, Iowa February 15, 1885 and passed away in Glendale June 1st. Mr. and Mrs. Danforth and their family were former Winterset residents.
She is survived by two daughters Lillian and Helen and one son Hal, all of Glendale. She was preceded in death by her husband.
