Adel, IowaRita Oldre, 87, of Earlham, passed away at her home Sunday, December 1, 2019.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church in Earlham with visitation from 10:00 am until service time. Private Family burial will be held at a later date.
Rita Roma Oldre was born August 13, 1932 in Alabama. Rita was an elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Earlham, she loved pastor Bob and her church family. She so looked forward to Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights with the Church. She was a long time member of Questers and a deliverer of meals on wheels for 20 years. She loved helping others and learning the stories of their lives.
Most of all Rita was MOM. Rita was the best Girl Scout leader, best seamstress, best fun time mom along with being a coach, and always encouraging her children to be the best they can be. Her family will miss visiting her in her home. Rita truly enjoyed going on road trips to Florida to visit our cousin Harriett and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenny and Eva Dutcher, and her loving husband, Glen Oldre. She was also preceded in death by her first born child, Michell Heuertz.
She is survived by her five children, Rita Ann, Diane, Raymond, Mark and Jim, along with their spouses and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials contributions may be directed to the family.
