DELLA LAVALLEUR DIES AT 93 YEARS

Funeral Held on Saturday For Long-Time Resident of Winterset

Mrs. Della Lavalleur of Winterset, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Thursday, Aug. 19, at her home on East Benton St. She was 93 years of age.

Mrs. Lavalleur was the former Della Cornelia Conwell, daughter of Robert and Ellen Neff Conwell and was born at Baxter on June 24, 1872.

She was married Jan. 20, 1895, to Lewis L. Lavalleur. Most of their married life was spent in Winterset. Mr. Lavalleur died many years ago. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ed Lavalleur, of Winterset.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian church.

Surviving are a son, Harry Lavalleur of Los Angeles, Calif., three daughter, Velma and Beatrice Lavalleur of Winterset and Alta Lavalleur of Los Angeles, and two brothers, O. E. Conwell of Baxter and Floyd Conwell of Wichita, Kansas.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset. Burial was to be made in the cemetery at Greencastle, Iowa.
