St. Charles - Services for Micky, age 85, will be held 11:00 A.M.,Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at St. Charles Parish Church in St. Charles. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday at St. Charles Parish Church. Interment will follow services at Union Chapel Cemetery in rural Madison County.

Micky Young passed away peacefully at her home October 25, 2019. Micky was born June 25, 1934 in Mercer, Missouri, to Kelly and Nancy (Callison) Stockman. She attended school in St. Marys, where she met her husband of almost 70 years, Wayne Young. She and Wayne eloped and were married on Christmas Eve 1949 and made their home near St. Marys. Micky worked a variety of jobs including many years as the cashier at Westroads Drug in Indianola. She and Wayne operated "Waynes Famous Sweetcorn" for many years from their home and also in Indianola. Upon retirement, she and Wayne became snowbirds spending winters in Mission, Texas where she took up crafts that her children and grandchildren still enjoy. Micky enjoyed a good game of Pitch or just about any board game and of course spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Wayne; children, Nancy (Vance) Patrilla of Toddville, Iowa, Deb (Brian) Adams of Houston, Texas and Iowa City, Iowa, and Steve (Chris) of Kissimmee, Florida; 7 grandchildren, Summer (Joe) Krum, Tiffany (Ryan) Laux, Matt (Tamara) Patrilla, Madison (Elise) Adams, Quentin Adams, Devyn Young, and Caroline Young; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings Sandy Fick, Jerry Stockman, Tom Stockman, and Tony Stockman, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Wilma, brothers Jerald, Gerald, and Tim, sisters Corky, Kay and Bev, and great-grandson Alexander.
