Janis Lynne Dorman passed away suddenly on August 29th at her home in Casa Grande, Arizona, she was 79. Janis was born in Clarke county Iowa to Howard Kirby and Mary (Simmerman) Kirby on April 18, 1940.
She graduated as the Valedictorian of the Truro High School Class of 1958.
Janis married James Dorman on July 18, 1958 and to this union 3 boys were born.
Janis' Truro days were busy and fun filled, she never missed any of the boy’s school and
sports activities as well as operating the Truro Cafe and assisting Jim with Truro Farm Equipment. Jim and Janis moved to Casa Grande, Arizona in 1988 and enjoyed life together with many friends and she enjoyed her work at 3G's Flower and became close friends with all
her coworkers and customers.Janis was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Joyce (Joe) Roberts and mother and father in law Herman and Harriet Dorman.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Jim, sister Susan (Mike) Cronin of Riverside, Iowa, sons, Brent (Virgene) Dorman of Canton, Ohio, Craig (Karla) Dorman of West Des Moines, Iowa, Kevin Dorman of Glendale, Arizona. 5 grandchildren, Danielle Dorman of
Chicago, Il., Jamie Dorman of Columbus, Ohio, Dennis (Amy) Dorman of Des Moines, Iowa, Kelly (Tom) Ruden of West Des Moines, Iowa, Joe
(Hannah) Dorman of Clive, Iowa and 7 great grandchildren, Christina, Maria, Jonah and
Romy Dorman, and James, Logan, and Grayson Ruden.The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date
