Jeanne A. Jones. Lorimor

A Memorial service for Jeanne A. Jones, 68, was held Sat., Aug. 24 at orient United Methodist Church, Orient, with the Rev. David Raines officiating. Mrs. Jones died August 21 at her home.

Born September 2, 1922 in Barney, she was the daughter of Arthur Earl and Velma A. (Leasman) Fisher. She married Robert Leon Jones September 25, 1953 at Correctionville. She had lived in both Orient and Adair before moving to Lorimor. She was a cook at Greenfield Manor, a member of Orient Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Jean Averil Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Marvin Monagon; and her grandparents. Her husband, Robert Leon Jones, died the day before she did.

She is survived by five daughters, Linda Jennings and husband, Donald, of Lorimor; Rhonda Jones of Lorimor, Sandra Burd of Newton Falls, Ohio, Lyla Monagon of 29 Palms, Calif. and Zella Jones of Perry; a sister, Mary Ann Schroeder of Des Moines; and six grandchildren.

Burial of the cremains by the family will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Orient United Methodist church.
