Janice Hines, 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Janice was born the daughter of Merritt and Estella Boggs on February 27, 1934 in Atlantic, Iowa.

She graduated from Atlantic High School. Janice was a longtime employee of MidAmerican Energy formerly known as Iowa Power where she worked as customer service supervisor. Above all, she loved time spent with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Roger Hines, Lorann Buttz, Kenneth (Melinda) Hines and Donnie (Penny) Hines; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Leslie (Karen) Boggs; sisters, Mary Jane, Sandy and Mariel; and a host of extended family and friends.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hines; grandson, Christopher Bengtson; her parents; two brothers; and five sisters.

Memorials may be directed to the family in loving memory of Janice.
