Bert Shutt, 69, Dies; Ill 2 Days

Bert H. Shutt, 69, of 1523 Washington ave., died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Methodist Hospital. He had been ill two days.

Born in Pocahontas County, Mr. Shutt had lived in Winterset before coming here 45 years ago. A retired decorator, he belonged to Pioneer Lodge and Cottage Grove Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Flora; three sisters, Mrs. Mida Fletcher, Des Moines, Mrs. Lulu Barber, Winterset, and Mrs. Edith Young, Bellevue, Neb.; and three brothers, Ed, Des Moines, Russell, Winterset and Lyle, Davenport.

Services will be held at 3 p. m. Tuesday at Dunn’s Funeral Home, with burial at Masonic Cemetery.
