Des Moines, IowaMervin David Jones Sr. 72, passed away February 15, 2019. He graduated from his earthly life so he could begin his new Heavenly journey.
David was born May 1, 1946 to Esma (Wilson) and Mervin Dale Jones.
David is survived by his wife Susan; their children, Diana (Mike Fitzgerald), Laura (Bill Dory), David (Stephanie Jones) and Christina (Charles Heller); 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; his brothers, Kenneth Wilson, Mark Brower and Harry Brower; his sister, Judi VerHoef; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Jones, nephew, Billy Riley and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
David and Susan were licensed and ordained through Kingsway International. David enjoyed being an Evangelist. He loved to share his love for our Heavenly Father with everyone he could. That Christ like love touched so many lives. David helped many souls through the years, he touched the homeless, the less fortunate, children, people with special needs and so many others.
No need for sorrow, as the earthly body fades. The Spirit of David is celebrating with our Heavenly Father. One day we will be greeted by Jesus and, David will be there with his arms wide open.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Iles Grandview Park Chapel, 3211 Hubbell Avenue in Des Moines. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 28 at the Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 2011 205th Lane, Winterset, IA.
Dad, you will always be missed, but your legacy will live on for all Eternity.
