Mary Arminta James. 80, resident of Eureka for the past 35 years, died at her home at 819 California street today.
She was born July 15, 1871, in Barry county, Missouri and came to California 47 years ago.
Survivors are her daughters, Mrs. Alma Rager, Eureka; Mrs. Gertrude Waldo, Long Beach; Mrs. Manda Lorenzano, Santa Barbara; one son, Stephen James, Eureka; sisters, Mrs. Samantha Barr, Mrs. Nan Wilson and Mrs. Dica Pope, all of Santa Cruz; three brothers, Thurman Waltrip, Frankie and Oscar Waltrip, all of Santa Cruz: also nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p. m. in the Chapel of the Ferns, Cooper mortuary with the Rev. LeRoy Abbott officiating with interment in Ocean View cemetery.
________________________Coordinator's note: The deceased and husband were in Lincoln Township, Madison County in the 1895 census with two of their three children born in the county.
