Charles O. Weeks, 73, of 2420 North Fremont, died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in Cox Medical Center following a six-month illness.
A retired carpenter, Mr. Weeks was a 22-year resident of Springfield. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion here.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. David Hall, Goodland, Kan., and Mrs. Mildred Likerman, state of Kansas; one brother, Lawrence, of Denver, Colo.; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Nola Williams, 2559 North Weller.
Arrangements are under direction of Klingner.

Funeral services for Charles O. Weeks, 73, of 2420 North Fremont, will be a 2 p.m. Friday in the Klingner Chapel with the Rev. Gilbert Thomas officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Weeks died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in Cox Medical Center following a six-month illness.
________________________Coordinator's note: Transcribed as published, "Mrs. David Hall" should be "Mrs. David Paul" and "Mrs. Mildred Likerman" should be "Mrs. Mildred Ackerman". The deceased was in Madison County censuses in 1900 & 1910. In the former, he was listed under his birth father's name "Clarens".
