Richard P. “Dick” Hoffman, 74, of Huntley, died peacefully, November 03, 2017.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 08, at 2:00 p.m. and the family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church 10805 Main Street, Huntley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association.
Richard was born November 15, 1942, the son of Richard and Rosemarie Hoffman. He married Jill McDonald on April 03, 1976 in Winterset, Iowa. Dick worked as an executive within the railroad industry for over 50 years until his retirement.
Dick is survived by his wife, Jill Hoffman; his children, Michael Hoffman, Julie Hoffman, and Scott Hoffman; by his grandchildren, Kenn (Sabrina), Olivia and Hannah; he is also survived by his brothers, Paul (Mary) Hoffman and David (Kathy) Hoffman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Virginia Kasprzak and by his sister, Janet (Jaime); and sister-in-law, Kathy Hoffman.
