CASPER—Services for Earl A. Dowler, 79, 605 South Park Street, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church.

Dr. Thomas Norman of the First Christian Church will officiate, with burial to be in Memorial Gardens. Friends may call until noon Monday, after which time the casket will be closed.

Dowler died Friday at Converse County Hospital in Douglas, after a brief illness.

Born April 12, 1896, in Madison County, Iowa, he came to Wyoming with his parents in 1904. He homesteaded in Chugwater in 1917, and later worked at Wyoming ranches, becoming a rodeo performer.

Dowler married Kathryn Bennett in 1916 in Wheatland.

He was a retired stillman of the Standard Oil Co. refinery in Casper. Active in the Masons and the Odd Fellows Lodge, he was a member of the Roundup Club and an elder of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include the widow, of Casper; three sisters, Hallie Olson, of Alemeda, Calif., and Ina Sims and Martha Redburn, both of Casper; and three brothers, Walt Dowler of Cheyenne, Lloyd Dowler of Fresno, Calif, and Art Dowler of Casper.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lester E. Dowler; three brothers and a sister.

Flowers or memorials to the Blue Envelope Health Fund will be equally appreciated by the family. Friends may call until noon Monday, after which the casket will be closed.
