Tim Borseth, 48, of Truro, formerly of Bergland, Mich., passed away Saturday evening, June 16, 2018, in Des Moines.

Tim was born on Aug. 5, 1969, in Wakefield, Mich., a son of Thomas and Connie (Londo) Borseth. He attended school in Bergland, Wakefield and graduated from Ewen-Trout Creek High School. Tim later attended Northern Michigan University and graduated with a business degree.

Tim was active in sports. In high school he participated in basketball, baseball and tennis. After graduating, he continued being active in sports with his close friends until his body told him it was time to quit.

Tim spent his career in Rochester, Minn., and later in Des Moines, where he worked for NCMIC Finance. He loved his job and the people he worked with.

Throughout his life, Tim made many lasting friends. Family and friends were always very important to him. He looked forward to any occasion to get together.

Nothing was more important to Tim than his three sons. They were the love of his life. If they stopped over for one of his special meals or just for a visit and a game of cards, it made Tim’s day.

Tim was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He and his father attended the Packer Super Bowl game and watched the Packers win. What a momentous day.

Tim is survived by his sons, Max, Lucas and Will; his parents, Tom and Connie; a brother, Todd; a sister, Penny (Pete) Bennett; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 23, at 11 a.m. EDT, preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. EDT, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bergland. The Rev. Antony Kalapura will be the celebrant, assisted by Deacon Mike.

Pallbearers will be Todd Borseth, Michael Borseth, Andy Borseth, Dale Gordon, Danny Coss and Pete Bennett.

Rite of Committal and interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Bergland.

A reception will be held in the church hall following the cemetery service.

Expressions of affection in a charitable contribution in Tim’s memory in lieu of flowers may be made to Tom and Connie Borseth for their grandsons’ future.

A service for Tim’s Iowa friends will take place on June 30, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saint Marys, Iowa.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield.
