Springdale—Carl Owens Emerson, 62, of 1109 Bronco Lane, died Wednesday in the Springdale hospital. Born June 6, 1908 in Peru, Iowa, he was owner of Emerson Monument Co., a Methodist, a Mason and a member of the UCT.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Audrey Conard Emerson of the home; one son, Robert Carl of Springdale; three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn E. Clark of Fayetteville, Mrs. David Gay and Mrs. James Phillips, both of Springdale; his mother, Mrs. Flossie Flight of Indianola, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Couper of Lacona, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Ann Allsup of Kansas City and Mrs. Dulcie Dehner of Des Moines, Iowa and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church with burial in Friendship Cemetery under direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel.
