Cora Miller dies at 89

LORIMOR—Mrs. Cora Busch Miller, 89, formerly of Lorimor, died at the Spurgeon Manor nursing home at Dallas Center Monday after suffering a heart attack. She had been ill for two months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lorimor United Methodist church. Rev. M. Stanley Ballard, the pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lorimor cemetery.

She had been at Crestview Acres nursing home at West Des Moines for 1½ years before moving to the Dallas Center nursing home about four weeks ago.

Cora Busch was born at Macksburg June 23, 1884 and had lived most of her life in Lorimor. She was the daughter of Henry and Sarah Jane Shaw Busch. She was married to Clinton J. Miller, who died in 1959.

Mrs. Miller is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Doris Hol of Des Moines and Mrs. Florence Latta of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a son, C. Max Miller of Des Moines; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She had been a member of the Lorimor United Methodist church, the Women’s club and the Study club of Lorimor.

A memorial fund for the Heart Association and Crestview Acres nursing home at West Des Moines has been established, her family said.
