M. C. Lane Dead; Was Ill of Stroke

M. C. Lane, 67, died Monday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ann Humphrey, 3623 Glover ave. He suffered a stroke a year ago. A former resident of Madison county, Mr. Lane came here 15 years ago. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and Eastern Star at Van Meter, Ia.

Surviving are his wife, Amanda; five other children, Leland, of Cumming, Ia., Virgil, Lafayette and Mrs. Josephine Parsons, all of Norwalk, Ia., Mrs. Leola Olcott, and a sister, Mrs. Melessa Clulow, both of Des Moines, and 10 grandchildren. The body is at a Norwalk funeral home.

MARION C. LANE DIED JANUARY 10

Marion C. Lane, resident of Lee township for many years, died at his home in Des Moines on Monday, January 10, at the age of 67 years.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 13, in Norwalk at the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Norwalk cemetery with Masonic rites.

Lane was born on May 10, 1876 in Cumming, and in August 1898, he was married to Amanda A. Haynes of Cumming and were the parents of six children.

Is survived by his wife; six children, Liland of Cumming Virgil, Lafayette and Mrs. Josephine Parsons of Norwalk, Mrs. Leva Ocott of Orillo, and Mrs. J. L. Humphrey of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Melissa Clubow.
