Hiram E. Beerbower, 49, former Des Moines resident, died Monday night at Rolla, Mo., where he had been working as a carpenter on a new army camp project.
Death was caused by pneumonia that followed influenza. The body will be returned to Des Moines today for services and burial.
Mr. Beerbower, who had been living at Fox, Ark., since leaving Des Moines 18 months ago, was born near Winterset, Ia. He was a world war veteran and had been a Rock Island railroad brakeman here.
His mother, Mrs. H. J. Quinn, and a brother, William Beerbower, both of Des Moines, survive.
