Ersie C. Bird, 50, a work projects administration employe living at 4147 E. Thirty-second st., died of pneumonia Wednesday at his home.
His wife, five daughters, six sons, his parents, two sisters and a brother survive. All live in Des Moines.
The daughters are Mrs. Maybelle Swisher, Mrs. Gladys Tavener, Ruth, Dorothy and Joan. The sons are Ralph, Raymond, Robert, Jack, Richard and Leo.
His sisters are Mrs. Blanche Huss and Mrs. Beulah Cushman, his brother is Ralph Bird, and the parents are Mr. and Mrs. William Bird.
Services will be directed by the E. Carl White Funeral home in east Des Moines.

Funeral services for Ersie C. Bird, 50, of 4147 E. Thirty-Second st., who died of pneumonia Wednesday, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at E. Carl White’s funeral home in East Des Moines.
Mr. Bird, a works projects administration employe, is survived by his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Maybelle Swisher, Mrs. Gladys Tavener, and Maxine, Dorothy and Joan; six sons, Ralph, Raymond, Robert, Jack, Richard and Leo; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Huff and Mrs. Beulah Cushman, and one brother, Ralph. All live in Des Moines.
