Mrs. L.B. Beall, early day settler of the Alfalfa community, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Reinking. Funeral services were held at the Alfalfa Baptist church at 2 p.m. Tuesday and interment was made in the Alfalfa cemetery. Rev. Dan T. Muse of Oklahoma City conducted the services.

Miss Eliza O. Guilliams was born Nov. 10, 1849 and died March 23, 1931 aged 81 years, 4 months and 13 days. She was married to Leonard Beall Jan. 30, 1866 at Winterset, Iowa. To this union eight children were born, three of whom are living. They are Mrs. Geo. Reinking and Mrs. Sam Stewart of Alfalfa of Alfalfa and Rev. R.B. Beall of Carnegie. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family moved from Iowa in 1892 to Kansas and in 1901 moved to the Alfalfa community and has made this their home ever since. In the early days of this community they were the second family to take up residence near Alfalfa. Mother Beall has been a faithful church worker most of her life. In the early days of this country she did much to organize Sunday schools in communities in which no services were held and in which to services were held and in many ways was helpful to stir up interest in church work. She lived a life of prayer and in her last hours she was heard praying for her children and grandchildren by name not leaving out a single one.

After three weeks of illness in which there was much suffering she came to a peaceful end. As quietly and gently as the falling snow her spirit passed away to join the redeemed of earth.
