Following a courageous battle with a lengthy illness, Bonnie (Emerson) Gordon died peacefully in her home in Colorado on May 16, 2018, with her loved ones by her side.

A memorial service will be held in Winterset at a future date, to be determined.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dean Emerson, her mother, Marjorie Emerson Lathrum, and her daughter, Shawn Marie Gordon.

She is survived by her sister and brother, Ann Emerson Armit and Scott (Barb) Emerson; nephews, John (Amanda) Emerson Armit and William (Lauren) Emerson; niece, Sarah (Chris) Emerson Lagedrost; plus many loving friends and extended family members.

Bonnie's ashes will be inurned following the gathering, at the Peru Cemetery.
