Carl E. Taylor, age 81 of Winterset, son of Emily Rebecca Dillavou and Robert Taylor was born September 28, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa He passed away early morning, Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the West Bridge Care Center in Winterset, Iowa. Funeral Services for Carl will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset, Iowa. His family will receive friends at Ochiltree Funeral Services from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday.

On August 11, 1956, he was united in marriage to Jacqueline Miller in Des Moines, Iowa. They had four children, Teresa, Diana, Michael and Rebecca. Carl worked for Massey Ferguson for many years and was an active member of the union. Following his retirement from Massey Ferguson, he worked for Kum and Go. He loved his fifteen years working for Kum and Go. He belonged to the Earlham VFW post.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved playing Santa Claus.

He is survived by his wife Jackie of Winterset; two daughters, Diana Beckman of Bellevue, Nebraska and Rebecca (Butch) Gable of Johnston, Iowa a son, Michael (Filomena) Taylor of Winterset, Iowa; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, John (Jean) Taylor of Des Moines, Iowa and a sister, Patricia (Raymond) Whitehurst of West Des Moines, Iowa

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Charlet.

Carl Taylor, age 81 of Winterset, passed away early morning, Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the West Bridge Care & Rehab in Winterset.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. Funeral Services for Carl will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Madison County and memorials may be directed to the family.
