CLINTON, Iowa—Services for Bernie R. Wetrich, 94, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
He died Sunday at Wyndcrest Nursing Home, Clinton.
He farmed near Dexter and in Clinton County. He moved to Clinton in 1949 and was a self-employed carpenter for many years.
Mr. Wetrich married Hazel Dickey in 1920 in Dexter.
He was an Army veteran of World War I.
He attended Iowa State College.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clinton; Preston Masonic Lodge; and the Scottish Rite Bodies.
He enjoyed woodworking and was a cabinet maker.
Memorial may be made to the church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lola Jackson, Clinton; a son, A. Leon, Earlham; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
