By The Associated PressSAN ANTINIO, Jan. 9. —Cadet S. Winter Wilmoth of Brooks field, was seriously injured this morning when the plane in which he was flying crashed near Salado creek, east of Fort Sam Houston. He was rushed to the base hospital, where he was still unconscious shortly before noon.

SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 10. – Cadet Wilmoth S. Winter of Brooks field died this afternoon from injuries received when the plane he was flying crashed near Fort Sam Houston Wednesday morning. His home was in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Parents of W. S. Winters, Victim of Plane Crash, Live at Cedar Falls.

Cedar Falls, Ia., Jan. 11. – Injuries received in an airplane crash at Fort Sam Houston, Tex., caused the death of Cadet Wilmoth S. Winters, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Winters, Cedar Falls, the parents learned thru a telegram received late yesterday. Winters enlisted at Lincoln, Neb., eight months ago. He had attended the naval academy at Annapolis for two years. Winter’s parents, living at 2604 Olive street, when first advised of the accident were told his injuries were not serious. Another telegram brought the news he was dying. The family moved to Cedar Falls a few months ago from Rifle, Colo. Besides the parents, there surrive a brother, Max, and three sisters, Margaret, Alice and Mrs. W. B. Studt.All except Mrs. Studt, whose home is in Denver, Colo., reside at Cedar Falls. The body probably will be taken to Cedar Falls for burial.
