OBITUARY OF MRS. E. FENIMORE

The funeral services for Mrs. E. Fenimore were held at Oakwood Sunday, Nov. 7, at 11 o’clock, conducted by Rev. L. L. Coms of the Christian church.

Mary Idella Oller Fenimore was born Aug. 1, 1876, in Lucas county, Iowa: departed this life Nov. 5. 1926, aged 50 years, three months and five days. She moved with her parents at the age of 11 years from the home in Iowa to Custer county, Neb. Here at the age of 18 years she met and married E. Fenimore and together they went back to Iowa and settled for their first home, in Madison county. To this union seven children were born, one boy and six girls, all of whom were present at her departure. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband, seven children, and a mother, her father preceding her eight years ago. She also leaves behind three brothers and four sisters. Because of sickness only one brother was able to be present at this time.

Bro. and Sister Fenimore moved into this county 17 years ago and during these years have been friends and neighbors to those of us who are here today. Sister Fenimore professed Christ and became obedient to the Gospel at the age of 17 years, since which time she has lived a faithful, consistent life. She was a good wife, a loving mother, a loyal friend and neighbor and a good Christian woman, loved by all who knew her because of her kindly disposition. I am told it was not her nature to harm anyone by word or action.

In her passing we sorrow but not as those who have no hope, for Christ has said, “I am the resurrection and the life.’

Interment was made in Oakwood cemetery.
