Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 22 from the Slininger Chapel in Jefferson for Vivian R. Tomlinson, 80, longtime Greene county resident.
Richard Miller of the Jefferson Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witnesses officiated. Mrs. Donald Crane was organist.
Casket bearers were Mahlon Fackler, Mathias May, Royce Babcock, Dan May, Joe May and Ward Stream. Interment was in Dawson Township Cemetery, Greene county.
Vivian Ruth Tomlinson, daughter of Frank and Cynthia Creger, was born July 22, 1892, at Peru in Madison county and passed away at the Greene County Medical Center Nov. 19 at the age of 80.
On Jan. 4, 1911, Vivian was united in marriage with Robert W. Tomlinson in Madison county. Two children were born to this union, a son, Robert Gene Tomlinson of Jefferson, and a daughter, Geraldine, now Mrs. Jack Guizlow of Garden Grove, CA.
Mrs. Tomlinson spent the most of her life in Greene county, except for a few years in California. She has lived at the Extended Care for the past five years.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1954; one brother, Marvin Creger of Jefferson; and one sister, Marcie Schilling.
She is survived by her son Robert and daughter Geraldine, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; two brothers, Merle Creger of Springdale, AR, and John Creger of Des Moines, and many nieces and nephews also survive.
