MARTENSDALE, IA. —Katherine Beedle, 54, of rural Martensdale, died of cancer Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Wallace Cemetery.

Mrs. Beedle was born in Warren County and had lived in rural Martensdale for 26 years. She had been a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter Katherine Harban of rural Indianola; two sisters, Emily Strable and Jenny Cook, both of rural Martensdale; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church.

Katherine Beedle, Indianola

Services for Katherine Beedle, 54, rural Indianola, who died of cancer at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Nov. 30 at St. Pauls Lutheran church in Martensdale. Burial was in Wallace Cemetery at Wick.

She was born Oct. 16, 1933 in Warren County, the youngest daughter of Elige and Katherine Finch Rhoades. She was married to Duane Beedle of Winterset on Nov. 4, 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Pauls of Martensdale.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Harban and husband Chris of Indianola; three grandchildren; and sisters, Emily Strable and Jennie Cook of rural St. Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, her husband and a son, David.
