Eldora - Carl R. Letz, 82, of Eldora, Iowa, passed away March 11, 2018 in Mission, TX.
Born May 18, 1935 in Winterset, Iowa to Cecil and Helen (Ames) Letz. Carl graduated from Winterset High School in 1953 and went on to earn a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.
Carl practiced law for over 50 years and served two terms as the Hardin County Attorney. Carl enjoyed a number of hobbies including flying, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 33 years Zelora (Casady) Letz. He is survived by his brothers Robert Letz and John (and Cora) Letz, his son Craig (and Jennifer) Letz his daughters Julie Letz and Stacy Letz his stepsons Sam (and Sue) Mullins and Stuart (and Erin) Mullins as well as 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am May 5th, 2018 at First Christian Church of Cedar Falls. Interment will follow at 2:00pm at the Eldora City Cemetery.
