Belle Leggett of St. Charles died Sunday, Oct. 23, at Des Moines General Hospital at the age of 87. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, at 1:00 p.m. at St.Charles Parish Church. Rev. Chet Waterman and Pastor Doug Domokos will officiate. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery.
Born on Aug. 27, 1896, at St. Marys, she was the daughter of Robert and Hannah Picken Clarke. Her husband Roy Leggett preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Dyle of St. Charles, Robert of Alden and Royce of Colesberg, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Margaret Isabel Leggett
Margaret Isabel Leggett, daughter of Robert and Hannah Picken Clarke, was born August 27, 1896 in Warren County, Iowa. She departed this life October 23, 1983 at Des Moines General Hospital, at the age of 87 years, one month and 26 days. She received her education at Science Hill Country School. On December 22, 1917 she was united in marriage to Roy Leggett at St. Charles. Four children were born to this union. She was affiliated with the United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and one infant son, Dwaine.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Dyle Leggett of St. Charles; Robert Leggett and wife, Rosella of Alden and Royce Leggett and wife, Grace of Colesberg, seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held 1 p. m. Thursday, October 27 at St. Charles Parish Church. Rev. Chet Waterman and Pastor Doug Domokos officiated. Interment was in the St. Charles Cemetery.
