Larry Eugene Goodrich, son of Ross Wendell Goodrich and Laura Ellen Myers Goodrich was born March 14, 1939 in Madison County, Iowa and passed from this life Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his home in rural Clarke County at 78 years of age.
Larry received his education in St. Marys and Osceola. Following graduation he attended Barbers College and operated his own shop in Burlington. Larry also served his country with the United States Army Reserves from 1957-1964.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Louise Harris on September 1, 1960 in Warren County, Iowa and two children, Marty and Darrell blessed this union.
Over the years, Larry had been an over the road trucker, worked at Fairplay Scoreboards and most recently worked at the Bus Barn in Osceola before actually driving the school bus for the last several years. he was a member of Osceola Masonic Lodge #77 A.F. & A.M..
Those relatives who preceded Larry in death were his father, Ross Wendell Goodrich, mother, Laura Ellen Goodrich and infant brother, Garry Everett Goodrich.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Carolyn Goodrich of Osceola, IA; sons, Marty (Cindy) Goodrich of Des Moines, IA, Darrell (Shelley) Goodrich of Indianola, IA, grandchildren, Missy (Justin) Garrison of Fayetteville, NC, Austin Goodrich of Indianola, IA, Allison Goodrich of Indianola, IA; sister, Linda (Lanny) Masters of Humeston, IA, great-granddaughter, Ariya Ross Goodrich, great-grandson on the way, James Lee Garrison as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
