Page 6, Column 5Charles H. Farr, son of Wm. H. and Eliza Farr, was born near Leesburg, Ohio, September 4, 1868, and died at his home near Murray, Iowa, November 22, 1920, aged 52 years, 2 months and 18 days.
At about eight years of age he moved with his parents to Madison county, Iowa.
August 7, 1894, he was united in marriage to Rosa Frank. To this union were born seven children: Eldon, Orvil, William, Earl, Eva, Donald and Vivian.
He with his family located within the bounds of the Murray community in 1900 where they have since resided. In March 1920, the family moved to the present home two miles from Murray, where he passed away as above stated. He suffered greatly and had a realization of approaching death, but he had made his peace with God and approached that hour serenely. Though having suffered greatly, the end came peacefully.
He leaves besides his wife and seven children, one grandson, Lorrainne, four brothers – John and Walter of East Peru, Iowa, Robert of New Virginia, Iowa, Alfred of Red Oak, Iowa; and two sisters – Mrs. Chas. Barnard, of Cedar, Iowa, and Mrs. Ann Hilton, of Emporia, Kansas. Two brothers, Emerson and James, and one sister, Margaret, preceded him in death.
