It was also learned here this week the Pvt. Roy R. Husted, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Husted, recently of Winterset, died March 8 in Italy of wounds received in action against the Germans.

Private Husted’s home was at Orient, where he was reared and graduated from the high school. His parents had been living for some time in Winterset, but moved to Creston a few weeks ago.

Private Husted had been in service since last May, and went overseas last November. His wife and two children live at Orient.
