August 1952Mrs. W. T. Earhart of Horton, Kans., died at 12:15 p.m. this Wednesday, August 13, 1952, after a long illness. Mrs. Earhart was the former Nettie Kale. Funeral services will be announced later.

August 1952Nettie (Kale) Earhart was born in Winterset, Ia., August 22, 1876, passed away August 13, 1952 at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 13 days after an illness of eight months. She moved to Kansas with her parents when she was eight years old, living in the Claytonville neighborhood until the year of 1920. On February 14, 1923 she was married to William Earhart. The following year they moved to Iowa on a farm, remaining there until September, 1940. At that time they moved to Brown county, Kansas, where she spent the remainder of her life.
She is survived by the husband, William Earhart; six stepchildren, Raymond, of Hiawatha, Kans.; Arleva Miller, Millie Patch of Holton, Kans.; Opal Hatten of St. Joseph, Mo; Mable Hale, Delbert of California; one brother, Frank Kale of Hiawatha; two sisters, Mrs. Rollie Hampton of Powhattan, Kans.; Mrs. Henry Sinclair of Hiawatha, Kans.; several nephews, nieces. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Aug. 13, at 2 o'clock at Rake's Mortuary in Horton with Rev. Brooks, officiating. Mrs. Frank Davis, assisted by Mrs Clark at the organ sang "Sunrise Tomorrow," "Beyond the Sunset." Body bearers were Robin, Wayne, Fred Kale, Walter Chase, Vernon Duckers, Leroy Hampton. Assisting with the flowers were Mrs. Leslie Hampton, Mrs Waster Chase, Mrs. Vernon Duckers. Internment was at the Claytonville Cemetery.

August 1952Funeral services for Mrs. W. T. Earhart will be held Friday, Aug. 15; at 2 o'clock at the Rake Mortuary in Horton will internment at the Claytonville cemetery. Mrs. Earhart is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Rollie Hampton of Powhattan, Mrs. Henry Sinclair of Hiawatha, one brother, Frank Kale of Hiawatha.
